The distant shoreline of Ayrshire (Turnberry can be seen on a
clear day) and the distinctive outline of Ailsa Craig (Paddy's Milestone) from
Burnside House
A walk along the shore at Kildonan (2 miles from Burnside
House) brings you to a colony of seals basking in the coves against the back
drop of the islands of Pladda and Ailsa Craig. (This photo was taken in November
2006).
Canoeing at Torrylin. The stretch of white sands at Torrylin are
deserted even in the months when Arran is at its busiest. This is a haven for
birdlife, and a safe area for boating and canoeing.
